Tenant and landlord checks

Whether you are letting a home or taking one, it helps to know that the other person is who they say they are. Tell us what you need and we will introduce you to a verification service.

What we do

• Introduce you to a service that confirms identity and, where permitted, address and employment.
• Explain what such checks can and cannot tell you, and what the other person must agree to.

What we do not do

• Carry out the check ourselves or decide whether anybody is suitable.
• Check anybody who has not agreed to it.

What to have ready

• Whether you are the owner or the tenant
• The name of the person to be checked
• Their agreement to be checked
